The One on One coaching process
Initial consultation
The initial consultation will be the first time we meet together. We can meet face to face if you are located in Sydney or via Skype/Phone.
During the first meeting I will ask you a series of questions, so we can find out more about you as a person, a founder and about your business. If you have specific issues or concerns, the initial consultation will be a great time to start discussing these. During the initial consultation I will be making an assessment of your current situation. I will help you to understand what thoughts, attitudes and actions brought you to this point. We will then look forward to help you plan a different, better future.
Shortly after the initial consultation I will send through your personalised coaching program. This program will directly address the areas of your business that we need to work on together. The coaching program will set out:
The business objectives to be achieved through coaching
The coaching techniques and tool-kits that will be used
The duration of the coaching program (ie the recommend number of sessions)
The members of your team that will be involved and the coaching plan for them
The cost of the coaching program
Ongoing Coaching
You can set the pace of the coaching. We can meet as often or as little as you like. It’s your business - you know what you need and what it needs. As coach I am here to guide you, encourage you and provide a sounding board. I can point in the right direction, help you to prioritise your time and effort for the most value. How to pick a coach
“Coaching is vital, whether in-person coaching or via books and videos etc.,” he says. “However, I think people also have to trust themselves. If you have a clear vision and your coach doesn't get it, following their advice could be damaging. Listen to the advice, but remember that ultimately the decision or the plan is down to you.”
Entrepreneur Tim Kitchen, founder of Exposure Ninja
Here are some tips to help you find the right coach for you:
Do you like this style, content and approach?
When you had the initial consultations - did you gel with them?
Did the coach understand the vision and value of your business?
Does the coach create great content on their website and social media accounts?
Do you find yourself resonating with the content?
Do they share high quality content that can help your business?
Do they walk the talk?
Have they developed their own IP or are they just repackaging other peoples content?
You need to feel like your coach with stretch and challenge you. Your coach should not be accepting the status quo in your business but should be pushing you to achieve new goals in your business.
My availability
I am only available for coaching on Saturday and Sunday. I find this is when most founders have time to work “on their business” instead of “in their business”.
